Four Conferences, Three Continents: FBA Expands Its International Academic Network
From Ankara to Pržno, across the Atlantic to Philadelphia, and back to Izmir, faculty members from the IUS Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA) have participated in four major international academic gatherings across three continents, further strengthening the Faculty’s international presence and academic connections.
FBA’s international academic engagement in 2026 included participation in four major events across Türkiye, Montenegro and the United States: the Turkish Academy of Management and CARMA Early-Career Winter Workshop in Ankara, Türkiye (11–13 February); the 8th International Conference on Management and Organization (ICMO 2026): Sustainability by Design - Rethinking Strategy, People & Digital Futures in Pržno, Montenegro (3–6 June); the 86th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM 2026) in Philadelphia, United States (31 July - 4 August); and the Turkish Academy of Management 2026 Annual Meeting: Redefining Leadership - Adapting to AI-Driven Dynamics in Organizations in İzmir, Türkiye (31 August - 4 September).
Through these engagements, FBA faculty have taken part in discussions on contemporary developments in management, exchanged ideas with scholars and practitioners from different academic environments, and explored new opportunities for research cooperation and professional networking.
The series of international activities reflects FBA’s continued commitment to expanding its academic reach beyond the classroom and building meaningful connections with institutions and scholars around the world.
An important dimension of these activities is the Faculty’s growing cooperation with the Academy of Management and its Community Accelerator Program, an initiative that supports the development of management scholarship, stronger academic networks and institutional collaboration.
For FBA, this cooperation is particularly significant in the context of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider Western Balkans, where stronger links with international academic communities can open new opportunities for collaborative research, knowledge exchange and the development of regional scholarly networks.
