FBA “Show and Tell” Workshop: High School Students Explore Career Prospects
On Thursday, January 18, 2024, the FBA Department of Economics and Management organized a dynamic “Show and Tell” workshop for high school students with interests in Economics, Management, International Business and Finance, and Tourism and Hospitality Management.
The event commenced with a warm welcome from Asst. Prof. Dr. Šejma Aydin, the Program Coordinator for Economics, Management, and International Business and Finance. Dr. Aydin provided insights into the curriculum and the activities organized through various courses. The current students, Ms. Hanan Babić and Mr. Enes Serkan Akinci shared their personal experiences and learning journeys within the Department.
Adding a practical perspective, IUS alumnus Mr. Anes Kadić, a Master student and assistant in Finance, discussed his experience and highlighted the promising career prospects for graduates, showcasing various successful employments of alumni in the industry. Another graduate and Master student, Mr. Hamza Kadrić, spoke about his achievements in entrepreneurship, attributing his business success to the foundations laid by the program.
The second part of the event included an interactive workshop led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hamza Smajić and Asst. Prof. Dr. Šejma Aydin, who engaged the high school students in a creative exercise, conceptualizing innovative versions of simple products and discussing their marketability.
The event concluded with a Q&A session, during which the attendees engaged in a more relaxed conversation with the hosts.
