Guest Lecture by Dr. Marek Dziura from Krakow University of Economics at the IUS Faculty of Business and Administration
On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, the IUS Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA) welcomed Dr. Marek Dziura, from the Krakow University of Economics, Poland, who delivered an engaging guest lecture to master’s students of the courses IBF503 International Business Environment and IR571 International Organizations.
The session, held within the framework of courses led by Assistant Professor Dr. Azra Bičo and Assistant Professor Dr. Hamza Preljević, focused on the topic “Innovation and Its Influence on Competitiveness of the Economies and Companies – Global, Regional and Country Context: Poland’s Time.”
Dr. Dziura explored the importance of innovation as a key factor driving economic competitiveness and sustainable growth. He shared insights into Poland’s remarkable economic success and transformation over the years, emphasizing the nation’s progress in fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and forward-looking development policies.
In addition, Dr. Dziura presented the Krakow University of Economics, outlining its academic strengths, research focus, and international collaboration initiatives. The discussion also touched upon potential areas for future cooperation between institutions, including joint research, exchange programs, and innovation-focused projects.
The lecture concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students engaged with Dr. Dziura on topics related to global competitiveness, innovation ecosystems, and comparative economic models.
